Friday June 27 (Late Games)

So far it looks like weather should not come into play for any of the games tonight. Tampa Bay and Baltimore are playing a double header today, so If you play the whole day slate only the 1st game stats will count. The late slate will count the 2nd game. Two of the top pitching plays, J. Cueto and M. Bumgarner, face each other tonight. I will be looking for offensive stats in other contests.

V. Nuno- Boston should be able to work this guy. He gives up around 2 homers per 9, and has an ERA of almost 6 with an FIP to match. Fire up Ortiz!!

B. McCarthy- 1 out of every 5 balls that are hit into the air against him leave the ballpark! Let him pitch in the HR Derby in a couple weeks.  He has an ERA that matches Nuno. With all that said, I still like him. His xFIP is just under 3, and he throws over 50% ground balls. San Diego has had trouble scoring runs over the season, and this has a low over/under of 6.5. I am defiantly going to play him in a GPP lineup tonight.

K. Lohse- Milwaukee is projected to beat Colorado very comfortably with a -200 money line. He should easily get the win. I like the Milwaukee batters tonight. T. Matzek has not shown he can strike many batters out, and has highest BABIP .344 of any pitcher starting tonight.

Lost $5 yesterday

I went and hit the small ball yesterday and didn't play the early.  I lost $5 on the late games.

Tonight I'm playing 3 different lineups.  The first one I'm playing is a new algorithm I'm using based off hitter vs batter.  I'm running one line with the defaults as usual and I'm running a new defaults algorithm.  Let yall know how it works in morning.

Pitching 6/23/2014

F. Hernandez- Safe play of the day! He averages more than a strike out per inning with an FIP of 1.86. He pitches late into games, and should get the win for today.

Z. Greinke- Also averages around a strike out per inning and has an xFIP of 2.77. This game has a 7.5 o/u with the Dodgers getting the win at -125.

A. Cobb- The value pitcher of the day. He went 7 innings in his last start while striking out 6. Although he did not come away with the win in that contest Vegas has the line set at -150. His GB% is at 53.60% which will hopefully keep his pitch count down.

Over the weekend Coors Field provided enough fantasy points for an entire week of contests. I will not entirely fade this game tonight, but not stack my entire lineup from this game. L. Lynn has a low HR/9 rate of .59. I think he should be able to keep the ball in the park. J. Chacin only gave up 2 hits his last start at home in 7 innings. This being the Cards first game of the series it may take them a day to adjust to the altitude. Keep in mind the line is still set at 10.5.

Placed 325 in bunt

Entered a $5 50/50 and the bunt.  The 50/50 didn't fill up so I only played the bunt.  I placed 325 in bunt and scored 43.75 points.

Im trying to play 10% of the bankroll each day.  Today I will try another 50/50.

Lost first game 45-56.5

Well I lost my first Game 45-56.5.  I feel like that was enough points to win most games.  I think I may play a 50/50 today.

MLB Lineup Builder Strategy

To make this tool work the most effectively you will have to apply some of your own research. Deciding what positions to spend on, and what positions to find value can make the difference in winning or coming up short. I always like to do my own research on pitching and look for favorable hitting match ups to play for each day. Using the default lineup will build a very balanced lineup for each position, and often times score enough points to win cash games. I normally try to spend more on the OF and corner infielders to seek higher point totals. Most days I like to punt the catcher and 2nd base position to allow the MLB Lineup Builder more cap space for the other positions. This strategy to build the optimal lineup will change each day depending on the number of games, players playing, weather, and starting pitchers. Most everyday DFS players can target the group of players that will by highly owned. This tool helps fill in the gaps with players to help give you the edge.
